For this week’s Fashion Alert, I want to talk to you about another Fall trend for 2013, and of course about some of my favorite designers. So, patterns, (floral and abstracts), were very big on fall runways. BCBG Max Azria, an absolute favorite designer of mine, who I turn to for a lot of fashion inspiration, had amazing runway shows these past few seasons. The dress I’m wearing in this photo was one I fell in love with when searching for a dress for my cousins wedding. I honestly didn’t even bother looking further than BCBG to begin with, because they just never seem to let me down. The open back, and lace details make this dress have that little edge to make you feel flirty and fun, but also done well to keep you classy, which is the most important part, of course!
Another favorite of mine, as he is for most woman these days is, Mr. Christian Louboutin. These peep-toe, ankle strap, beauties are a bit pricey, I agree, but a classic nude shoe, along with a black, should be in EVERY females closet. Just like the dress, it was love at first site. I am a HUGE fan of the late Marilyn Monroe and adore a vintage look and these heels gave me just that. Being that the dress does have a busy pattern, I felt accessories should be kept down a bit. Having too many “busy” pieces can just confuse a look, and distract one piece and another. This is why I also paired a simple black bag to complete the look.
Dolce and Gabbana are also designers who I admire, immensely. Their runway is pure art. Everything from apparel, hair, makeup, and accessories are so beautiful, and can take the audience into a fairytale. They have grown to be, to me, one of the greatest labels to turn to for “what to look for”, in coming seasons. I felt, the simple black Miss Sicily made this look come together perfectly, and maybe even more so because it is Sicilian of course =).
I hope you like this look and it inspires you to create your own art !
