Pork and apples are born to be together like tomato and mozzarella, eggs and bacon, chocolate and strawberries, caramel and … salt! This video was shot in October so it is a little late in the fall but fortunately you can still find some amazing apples to cook the dish. As you can see this “one pot wonder” is very small kitchen friendly because the ingredients are very simple and I am sure you already have at least 3 of them in your pantry.
A note about the technique: Searing the pork loins in a hot skillet and finishing them in the oven is the best way to obtain juicy and flavorful pork that doesn’t taste dry and chewy (a common problem when you have to eat your meat well done).
Next time your significant other is coming over you can impress him/her with this simple rustic dish… and the cleanup is so easy that said significant others won’t bemoan you for asking to wash the dishes!
