I am so excited about this post I can barely contain myself….. (drumroll please!) the Food Network Star The Official Insider’s Guide to America’s Hottest Food Show is finally out tomorrow August 16, 2011. And the best part is that…. I AM IN IT!!!
My recipe of the Pineapple Millefoglie with Maraschino Cherry Sauce is not only featured in the book (I hear it is on page 299), but it was also on Food Network Magazine this month. That is what I would call DOUBLE HONOR!
As some of you may recall, I created this recipe at the Sinatra Estate in Palm Springs. Even if I was assigned the dessert course (and we all know what happens to the people who prepare dessert!) I was not defeated and my millefoglie was well perceived along with my first and last pineapple saketini. I might bake but I am not much of a mixologist !
The books is really cool because it contains recipes from finalists along with pictures, interviews, behind the scenes anecdotes and suggestions and tips from the judges. Knowing my fellow contestants and having met some of the finalists from the previous years I can tell you that the recipes, insight and stories are going to be really fun and entertaining.
I am so proud of being a part of the Food Network Star family but this book is also the first featuring one of my recipes. Who knows what happen next, I am surely off to a good start….
